WAEBA In Europe
The West Australian European Business Association (WAEBA) pursues a general business, trade and investment presence in Europe via its digital profile, delegations, and business information events between Western Australia and the European Union(EU). The EU is Australia’s second largest trading partner and the largest source of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Australia enjoys a strong cultural, tourism and business relationship with the EU which is predicted to increase mutual trade opportunities by as much as 30% with the conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement (AU EU FTA), currently anticipated to complete by 2021.
All WAEBA services which are presented in Western Australia are also represented in Europe.
In addition to its core business and trade facilitation function, WAEBA pursues specialised cultural and tourism marketing connectivity with Europe via a dedicated Twinning Outreach Programme West Australia(TOPWA).
WAEBA Twinning Outreach Programme West Australia (TOPWA)
The WAEBA TOPWA programme identifies potential twinning candidates against agreed criteria and then facilitates development of a twinning project. Candidates can include European States, Regions, Shires, Cities, Towns, Rivers, Ports, Beaches and Festivals which desire a twinning status and active engagement with appropriate Western Australian counterparts.
The WAEBA TOPWA programme offers unique reciprocal exposure and awareness to participants through its special individually designed, professional marketing and trade support services. TOPWA promotes the candidate’s mutual twinning aims and aspirations of shared values, themes and opportunities via a direct exchange portal that covers cultural, tourism and business domains.
The WAEBA TOPWA concept programme is proudly supported by Tourism, Local and State Government of Western Australia authorities and the Delegation of the European Union in Australia as part of a wider tourism and trade support agenda.
TOPWA is promoted in Europe by WAEBA together with specialist European-Australian tourism marketing Consultancy:
